Early Childhood Nutritional Literacy Services for Schools: Parents, Students, and Faculty

LKD is committed to providing nutrition and health support services through education and holistic health information. We work in partnership with local, nonprofit farm shares and teaching kitchens to provide our  participants, parents and staff with whole health support services. We offer the following services:

1) Five to Flourish whole health education series 

2) Draft policies related to Head Start nutrition and health standards

3) Customized nutrition education materials and healthy recipe handouts

4) Screen-time management and physical activity education

5) Menu Planning

6) Food Allergy Awareness and Action Plan Training

7) Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Child and Adult Care Food Program, Administration for Children's Services, Department of Education, and New York City Food Standard compliance coaching

8) Collaboration with Eat Well/Play Hard Champion program

9) Farm-to-Institution training via Lenox Hill Teaching Kitchen

10) Local, sustainable food sourcing
